Watcher SDK
The Watcher SDK is the Python package watcher-sdk. It wraps the
Watcher API. Its main parts are:
| Part | What it does | Where it ships | Read next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client library | Typed sync and async Python clients for the Watcher API, with retries, pagination and structured errors. | Wheel and source archive | Python SDK |
| Sign-in commands | watcher-sdk auth login, auth status and auth logout save and manage a browser sign-in for local integrations. Install them with the cli extra, for example pip install './watcher_sdk-<version>-py3-none-any.whl[cli]'. | Wheel and source archive | Sign in without a Watcher client |
| Integration examples | Source code that connects third-party agents, frameworks, gateways, model libraries, compliance APIs and SIEM exports. | Source archive, not the wheel, under sdk/examples/ | SDK integration examples |
Use the release that matches your Watcher server version. Installation gives the commands for the wheel and the source archive.
Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot CLI on developer machines do not need the SDK: the Watcher client hooks into them. Integrations compares the built-in connections with the other options. From a language other than Python, call the HTTP API directly.
